We will gather to worship the Lord Jesus on Christmas Eve at 7pm in a traditional service of Lessons and Carols at the Hollywood Blvd. Theater. Bring some goodies to share with our neighbors and friends and join us to celebrate the Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

update on vicar scott lohman

Vicar Scott Lohman is still in critical condition in the CVICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, IL after suffering an aortic dissection on Nov. 28. But PRAISE GOD! he is making some progress. He got out of bed into a cardiac chair for the first time this week, and has spent some time breathing off the ventilator. The goal now is to get him into a specialized rehab hospital. Basically, your prayers are working. So don't stop now!

Illumination Artists Reception with special guest Greg Wheaton

The Illumination Art Show moves to Darien this Friday, Sept. 30. It will kick off with an Artists' Reception with special musical guest Greg Wheaton!

Greg Wheaton, an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist, is not only a phenomenal musician, but a husband, father, math professor and follower of Jesus. He names guitar great Phil Keaggy as one of his biggest acoustic influences. Greg utilizes percussion and rhythm, natural and slap harmonics, and left and right-hand tapping. His compositions have thoughtful precision, contemplative melodies, and sensitive interpretation.

Join us for a special night of artistic reflection on the love of God for all peoples. The fun begins at 6pm at the Show's new home 7511 Lemont Rd., Darien (behind the Home Run Inn Pizza), on the SE corner of 75th St. and Lemont Rd.

Illumination Is Coming

Illumination, the Parables Art Show, opens this Saturday, September 25. Severalamazing pieces have come in. Paintings, charcoals, pottery, calligraphy, mixed media . . . it truly is an awe-inspiring collection that will place the mysteries of God in a whole new perspective.
