Summer of Mission: 3 Opportunities

For three weeks this summer we will work together as a congregation to focus specifically on three different ways to live a life of evangelism and outreach.  They are Serve Week, Host Week, and Invite Week. We hope to explore some of these opportunities with some great brainstorming.  Just to get the pot-a-bubblin' here are some ideas we thought of last week.

SERVE

• partner with the new "Heritage Fest"
• guasha health training
• 5k charity race
• freecycle event
• family shelter service project
• frozen meals for sick and shutin
• waterfall glen pickup
• feed my starving children

HOST

• "lifeskill" home parties
• go see the movie "letters to God"
• geo-cache event
• pig roast
• pay-it-forward card event
• girls night out pizza party
• dinner club

INVITE

• friendship sunday at sanctuary
• feed my starving children
• door-to-door doorhanging
• church at the park/community center
• corn festival with parade
